After five years of touring across the globe, Subrosa Union is becoming an acclaimed act for their stage presence, energy, and catchy sound. Seamlessly transitioning between genres from pop-rock to reggae, it's no wonder Subrosa Union packs the house at the 100 plus gigs they play per year. As one of the official bands of the 2009 and 2010 South by Southwest music festival and with the release of their sophomore album, "One Night Stand" in April of 2010, Subrosa Union is making splashes in the music scene.
Some of Subrosa Union's shows include two overseas tours for Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) and a 2009 benefit concert for Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. They have also socially had the opportunity to share the stage at benefit concerts with artists such as Jenifer Lopez, Jewel, and Marc Anthony, and take their music global to Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf, Japan and Korea.
Recently, Subrosa Union played at Club Encore in Austin where there is a permanent installation of Cerwin Vega's active speaker series. The CVA 121, 21" active subwoofer providing thumping lows for Subrosa Union, and the CVA28's served as effective mains and stage monitors for the event. These 8" active speakers combined with the Cerwin Vega sub gave Subrosa Union some of the best live sound they've achieved at any of their concerts the world over.
